I have spent many years of my professional life as a ‘hands on’ therapist……….40 years of experience practicing massage, aromatherapy with a background in aesthetics. I am trained in Reiki (Levels 1 and 2) and feel a strong spiritual connection with life. I discovered the Bowen Technique about 18 years ago after struggling with a very painful frozen shoulder that persisted despite trying various therapies that gave no relief. After months of suffering, I was delighted to find after three Bowen Technique sessions, my shoulder pain disappeared, and range of movement returned. Life became much more comfortable and wasn’t dominated by pain. I feel I was guided to the Bowen Technique and having had such a positive personal experience, I was keen to learn it. After my first training day, I never looked back and knew that I would go on a journey with Bowen. For 10 years now I have been a Bowen Technique practitioner, building up a thriving business treating humans and four-legged clients having progressed to become a Canine Bowen practitioner. I have seen amazing results in both and find the work deeply rewarding. Being able to help with a variety of health problems is extremely rewarding and teaching Bowen Technique is a natural progression. I love teaching, and watching students develop as Bowen Technique practitioners is also very rewarding and important I feel in today’s world. Bowen has so much to offer and is complementary to many other therapies while having its own valuable niche in the world of healing. I feel privileged to be given the chance to increase the number of Bowen Technique practitioners in the world. My strengths as a tutor include giving clear, methodical, and patient instruction while also making the learning experience an enjoyable one. My aim is to develop confident, well trained, and effective practitioners.
