Angela Herdman

BTAA, BT(UK)

Angela Herdman is a Bowen Therapist and newly qualified Bowen Instructor with over 20 years’ experience in hands-on therapeutic work.

Before training in Bowen Therapy, Angela devoted many years to raising her four children, an experience that deeply shaped her understanding of the body, stress, recovery, and the importance of gentle, supportive care. It was through her own health journey that Bowen entered her life. After experiencing significant improvements in two longstanding health issues through Bowen Therapy, she knew she had found a modality that truly resonated with her values and understanding of the body.

For the past ten years, Angela has accompanied her sister, Jacqui Hoitingh, on Bowen courses, deepening her knowledge, refining her skills, and immersing herself fully in the Bowen philosophy. This long apprenticeship has given her a solid, grounded foundation and a deep respect for the subtle intelligence of the body.

Angela brings far more than technique to her treatments. Her work is characterised by presence, empathy, and a calm, intuitive understanding of what each body needs. As a teacher, she offers the same supportive, clear, and patient guidance, helping students build confidence, sensitivity, and trust in both the work and themselves.

Angela’s journey reflects lived experience, dedication, and a genuine passion for helping others through Bowen Therapy.
