John is a highly experienced instructor whose international reputation and engaging teaching style has taken him to countries across Europe, Scandinavia, Australia and America.
From his early 20s he has developed a deep interest in body-centred psychotherapy, yoga and meditation which led him to train in various complementary therapies, including Bowen. He has been practising since 1993 and teaching the Bowen Technique (beginners and advanced modules) and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy since 1998.
His particular interest lies in working with mothers and babies, developing his own accredited CPD workshop exploring the health implications of different kinds of birth and how these might be addressed. He has written several books both on this subject and the Bowen Technique. These include Choices in Pregnancy and Childbirth and An Integrative Approach to Treating Babies and Children.
He speaks at conferences worldwide on the long-term effects of how we form in the womb and how we come into the world. “For a therapist, I believe this is one of the most rewarding elements of our work,” he said.
John also runs two large internet-based teaching programmes, delivering high quality webinars not only for Bowen therapists but a variety of health professionals… a great way to raise awareness of Bowen and its benefits.
