Bowen Body Decoding
Is a two day course focusing on an individual approach to assessing each patient. It is essential for any Bowen therapist to understand the importance of a detailed anamnesis, good observation and precise assessment in order to achieve quick, sold and lasting results.
Through observation and physiotherapy assessments practitioners will be able to easily target the area of concern and achieve a higher success rate.
The course will feature the following:
2. What happens under the skin? How each part of the Bowen move affects our body? What is the scientific basis behind the Bowen move?
How tissues reponds to different types of pressure? Different proprioceptors in the body and their function. How difference in speed, pressure and depth of the Bowen move leads to a different body response. How to “order the outcome” through a better understanding of the body language.
Anamnesis/ Importance and what to ask for
Observation / What to look for and how to determine asymmetry.
Physiotherapy assessments tests before treatment An algorithm to approach muscular-skeletal disorders and asymmetry. Different physio assessments will be demonstrated for the therapists to be able to gather useful data for the area or/ and the muscle/s responsive for the problem. A selective, targeted approach is promoted for Bowen work.
Treat the reason not the symptom Target your treatment based on your assessments to address the area and the structures that are causing the symptoms and not just the symptoms instead.
Re-assessment during and after treatment
Biorhythms and Bowen Another perspective to approace non-resolving cases. A good way to achieve success for cases where we’ve reached a “dead end”.
This class will help each Bowen therapist build up knowledge and achieve a better understanding of how the Bowen technique works and what changes it brings to the body.
